Dated 13 December 2004, in the Official Gazette (Monitorul Oficial) No. 1.181 / 13.XII.2004, signed by the then President of the State Ion Iliescu and the then Prime Minister Adrian Nastase, the educational awards and orders of merit teachers, somewhat acknowledging the benefits and value of their work to date in education.

Only 4071 people working in educational matters received one of the 7 types of merit orders from different counties of the country

The number of teachers and teaching staff in Harghita County is 78.

DECRET privind conferirea Ordinului şi Medaliei Meritul pentru învăţământ
fn temeiul prevederilor art. 94 lit. a) şi ale art. 100 din Constituţia României, republicată, precum şi ale art. 4 alin. (1), ale art. 7 lit. A şi B şi ale art. 11 din Legea nr. 29/2000 privind sistemul naţional de decoraţii al României, cu modificările ulterioare,
la propunerea ministrului educaţiei şi cercetării,
pentru abnegaţia şi devotamentul puse în slujba învăţământului românesc, pentru contribuţia deosebită la dezvoltarea şi promovarea cercetării ştiinţifice din ţara noastră, cu ocazia Zilei Naţionale a României,

Preşedintele României decretează:

Art. 1. — Se conferă Ordinul Meritul pentru învăţământ în grad de Mare Ofiţer persoanelor prevăzute în anexa nr. 1*).
Art. 2. — Se conferă Ordinul Meritul pentru învăţământ în grad de Comandor persoanelor prevăzute în anexa nr. 2*).
Art. 3. — Se conferă Ordinul Meritul pentru învăţământ în grad de Ofiţer persoanelor prevăzute în anexa nr. 3*).
Art. 4. — Se conferă Ordinul Meritul pentru învăţământ în grad de Cavaler persoanelor prevăzute în anexa nr. 4*).
Art. 5. — Se conferă Medalia Meritul pentru învăţământ clasa I persoanelor prevăzute în anexa nr. 5*).
Art. 6. — Se conferă Medalia Meritul pentru învăţământ clasa a II-a persoanelor prevăzute în anexa nr. 6*).
Art. 7. — Se conferă Medalia Meritul pentru învăţământ clasa a III-a persoanelor prevăzute în anexa nr. 7*).

Udvarhelyszéki tanárok díjazása

A csíkszeredai Szakszervezetek Művelôdési Házában szervezte meg a Hargita Megyei Tanfelügyelôség és a Romániai Magyar Pedagógusszövetség a II. Hargitai Iskolanapokat.

A rendezvényen magyarországi és hazai pedagógusok tartottak elôadásokat, majd díjakat kaptak azok a tanárok, akik különbözô módszertani és tudományos munkákat írtak. Az elemi iskolák kategóriájában Péterffy Lenke és Fekete Géza (Bethlen Gábor Általános Iskola) Kis történelem kis gyerekeknek című könyve elnyerte a tartalom szemléletes megjelenítéséért odaítélt díjat. Díjat kapott még egy anyanyelvismereti tanterv, melyet több udvarhelyi pedagógus készített el. A gimnáziumi kategóriában Tuzson Zoltán (Baczkamadarasi Kis Gergely Református Gimnázium) kapta a legjobb minôsítést udvarhelyszéki viszonylatban: aritmetikai feladatgyűjteményét a legösszetettebb módszertani kiadványként értékelték. Díjazták még az Areopolisz kutatócsoportot, amelyben több fiatal tanár is tevékenykedik, Szász-Tikosi Zoltán (Fenyédi Általános Iskola) matematikai tesztgyűjteményét, Florina Onica (Marin Preda Elméleti Középiskola) román nyelvtanát, Ghiçă Apostol (Marin Preda Elméleti Középiskola) osztályfônöki füzetét. Több csoportos alkotás kapott díjat: A szent szabadság oltalmában című könyv, melyet keresztúri, szentléleki, udvarhelyi és korondi szerzôk írtak, egy matematikai tesztgyűjtemény képességi vizsgára (udvarhelyi általános iskolai tanárok alkotása) és a Marin Preda Elméleti Középiskola tanárai által írt módszertani kézikönyv. A rendezvény a csíkszeredai Nagy István Művészeti Iskola diákjainak műsorával zárult.

 
     

     
 

The aim of the founding of the Farkas Gyula Memorial Medal is to recognize the activities of professionals who have achieved outstanding results in the dissemination of Hungarian language mathematics and IT knowledge and in the management of talent in Romania. Recognition expressed with a commemorative medal is of a moral nature and does not involve a monetary reward. The Gyula Farkas commemorative medal is the work of Kinga Széchenyi, an artistic bronze plaque with the image of Gyula Farkas and the following inscription: "Gyula Farkas Award".

The commemorative medal is awarded once a year in November to a maximum of three people as part of the Hungarian Science Day in Transylvania series of events. The task of the Gyula Farkas Commemorative Medal Committee is to prepare for the awarding of the commemorative medal. The chairman of the committee is the president of the Gyula Farkas Association for Mathematics and Informatics, and seven members: the executive chairman of the association, two vice-presidents, the chairman and secretary of the EME Mathematics and Informatics Department, the Ferenc Radó Mathematical Society and
